Earth observation and sensor fusion
Satellite platforms collect spectral radiance, radar backscatter, atmospheric profiles, thermal emission and geolocation data. Ground stations, buoys and aircraft provide complementary measurements. Sensor fusion combines these data sources to reduce gaps, calibrate observations and improve model inputs.
A useful planetary analytics pipeline needs atmospheric correction, spatial registration, uncertainty estimation, temporal harmonization and reproducible processing. A visually striking map is not enough: each signal must be tied to provenance and limitations.
